Did you know that the Great Philosopher Socrates used to Fast for Mental Clarity? Does that really happen? Well! He certainly did get some.
Opposite to this, many people will feel dizzy or lack energy when they fast. Then they take energy bars and drinks to have that "Energy", which is absolutely wrong. When you take an energy bar or drink or candy, you feel better, because you are a "Junkie", Yes you read that Right! You are nothing but a " Junkie- Nashedi". You just got your high. You took a shot, which kicked your Dopamine levels in your brain and you went to your reward center. Because Biochemically nothing like this happens that you take sugar and it gets converted into "Energy".
So if you are feeling lazy and inactive during a fast, there are reasons for that, but taking a candy or sugar shot is not the solution. And it is easy to come out of it. For example, if you put an alcoholic in a room with no supply of alcohol, after some days he won’t crave it anymore. It’s your craving!
See there are two things here-
One is your 'Biochemical Cravings' when you are actually Hungry, and the second one is your 'Pavlovian Reflexes', which means you are just listening to your brain. So the question is Why Did We Stop Listening to the Body and When did it all start? Who advertised the knowledge of eating carbohydrates as a major part of our Diet Pyramid? When did we reach the knowledge of eating 5-6 times a day? THIS KNOWLEDGE IS TOTALLY FALSE!

SUPERHUMAN RECIPE:
16-8 hours Fasting and Feasting window! 1-2 extended fasts(Beyond 24 hours) per month! Count your Fasting window, 4 hours after the last meal because Insulin takes that much time to settle! You gotta keep your INSULIN levels low for a longer and healthier life!
Avoid these three major thing in any form:
X VEGETABLE SEED OIL X
X SUGAR X
X REFINED CARBOHYDRATES X
For example, Ice Cream cone, cone fried in Vegetable Seed Oils, cone made up of refined carbs and sugar in the cream. Basically lethal combination. Start to look at your food like that and you will get better soon.
Workout wise, Start your workout with a Compound Movement ( Deadlift, Squats, Bb rowing, Pull ups, Bench press etc) add 2-3 isolated movements. Vary your rep range in strength, hypertrophy and endurance zones on weekly basis. The burn during Strength training causes Lactate, which enhances the health of your organs like Liver, Kidneys & Heart, in the presence of Muscle Oxygen! Also, your muscles are getting weaker, as you are ageing, so to Compensate that too, you should be doing Strength training! Hence, strength training is the best form of training!
Lastly, but most importantly, Add few comprehensive breathing meditations, to enhance Neuromuscular Connections! Remember, better body gives better mind and better mind gives better body! It's complementary in nature!
